This poem may be trite, it came in a dream one night

It's my most humble tribute to you, harbinger of eternal light

Mass-media ignore the Falun Dafa persecution,

torture, forced-labour and electrocutions

Many, many it seems don't even care

preferring to remain blissfully unaware.

Modern life, with myriad pleasurable distractions,

seems to keep ordinary people from taking actions.

 

Religions now, are corporations

the 'isms' attached to words enslave all nations

Revered Master, it is you today who brings forth salvation!

Like Buddha Shakyamuni and Jesus of Galieli

you teach a righteous way

Naysayers yatter but I don't care what they say

I know that Falun Dafa will forever be here to stay!

 

So many have tried to find fault with you

yet they try and try in vain.

The offer of $500 million for your extradition was refused

and it drove the evil ones insane.

You ask for no money from your disciples

instead,  high moral standards

The Fa rectifying the cosmos you teach 

is a vast, immense spiritual vanguard.

 

The exercises you brought forth make your followers healthy

Through your teachings it becomes so clear

that this is greater than being wealthy.

You ask us not to drink alcohol because you want us to think,

and ask us not to do drugs so we won't become thugs.

You tell your students to stay positive

For me, that's at times hard to do

Yet I will try even harder because of my deepest respect for you.

 

I admit I was sceptical at first about Falun Dafa,

the dark side of human affairs had made me jaded.

Only a short time later, I realized, your words are illuminated.

You have millions of disciples around the world,

and you still remain humble, living the life you teach.

Now you leave it up to your disciples to bring new followers within reach.

 

You have no fear of evil

yet evil is afraid of you.

In my past I have committed many sins,

and I feel so unworthy too.

Through your teachings you instructed me

how to begin my life anew.

 

You are so wise, you've opened my eyes

I was living in delusion

The enormous Fa contained in your books

is the destroyer of Earth's illusions.

The prophecies are fulfilled that you'd come from the East

with infinite truth, benevolence and forbearing

Falun Gong is the righteous way!

I hear the Heavenly realms declaring.

 

 

Glossary:

 

Dafa:  Literally, "great principles" or "great law". 1) The teachings of Falun Dafa, 2) Short for Falun Dafa, 3) The laws and principles of the universe.

 

Disciple:  Literally, "younger brother-son".  A term commonly used by the teacher/master of a practice to refer to his/her students.

 

Fa:  Law and principles.  1) The teachings of Falun Dafa, 2)  The laws and principles of the universe.

 

Falun:  Literally translated: "Law Wheel".

 

Fa-Rectification:   The current time period where the Fa of the universe is being rectified.  "Since it is Fa-Rectification, what is being rectified?  What's being rectified

                              are all the old things that have deviated from the Fa."  (Lecture at the United States Fa Conference)  "The characteristic of our Falun is that it can

                              repair everything that falls short of the standard.  In other words, it is continually perfecting things.  The purpose of Fa-Rectification is to make

                              things more wonderful." (Teaching the Fa Conference in Singapore)  "The purpose of my doing things is Fa-Rectification.  All of the cosmos' beings

                              have already strayed from the Fa, so they have to be rectified with the Fa." (Lecture at the Conference  in Switzerland)

 

Gong:  Cultivation energy.

 

Master:  In Chinese, the term means literally "teacher-father".  This is a common term of respect to denote one's accomplished teacher.  The Chinese term does not

              have the dominant/submissive meaning as is found in the English master/slave.  The founder of Falun Dafa is Mr. Li Hongzhi, referred to by practitioners as

              "Master" or "Teacher".  (Variations: Teacher, The Teacher, The Master)
